The concept of the Komen for the Cure products started with a pink version of our popular Diebold Vat 21/23 carrier in late 2007 and has now expanded into several of our major products including ATM receipt paper, ATM deposit envelopes, card gloves, identification badge lanyards and fractional ATM wrap panels. Of the net proceeds raised by the partnership between DieboldDirect and Komen for the Cure, at least 25 percent supports the national Komen for the Cure organization, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research. The other 75 percent funds community projects related to breast health education, screening and treatment.
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
